Yup, it's only a few miles from where I live. It was all over the news, this guy was thrown from his motorcycle. The last I heard though, nobody died.

"Amazingly in all this destruction, there were no fatalities. But there were a few injuries" it says.

Anyway, I blame the terrorists.

The driver, Travis Stewart, 30, was flown to University Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he was in fair condition, spokesman Chris Nelson said.

Troy Lysfjord, 37, was lying down in the back of the cab when the accident occurred. He told The Salt Lake Tribune that he helped Stewart out of his seat belt and they climbed out of the cab with the help of nearby motorists.
They got out before the blast I assume,
Steal my dreams and sell them back to me.....

Thanks. Silly me, I totally missed that. :o

It's still pretty incredible if you think about it though. Not a single fatality from a blast like that is nothing short of a miracle.

I hate when people use the term "miracle" so lightly. How is this a miracle?? The guys got out before the blast...It may have been a little lucky but to call it a miracle? Come on.

Please understand that I didn't necessarily use miracle in a spiritual sense, if this is what you are alluding. You might not find this news story unusual, but for me, a bunch of people escaping from a truck filled with 35,500 lbs of explosives in the middle of a highway without anyone dieing is pretty darn miraculous.

Yeah, I bet the truck driver wishes he was dead though, because he is going to be sued and will probably go to jail from what they have been saying now. A bunch of stuff about how he was carrying this stuff illegally lol.

My grandparents were driving through that canyon at the time of the explosion too. Probably would have been near it had they not needed to go back to their house for something they forgot.
Life is beautiful.

Uh, whoa. I wish I were there to catch it all on video with my new Canon.
