Without starting a huge debate like the last spider thread I recall, I currently have aspider trapped in a clear plastic cup.

I wouldn't call it big by any stretch of the imagination, just bigger than any spider I've ever had in my house - about an inch counting the legs.

I've never come across a spider before with visible fangs, or that reared up when threatened.

Kill it, or set it loose somewhere? Perhaps I can throw up some pics if you are an enthusiast, but it isn't that special, not even close to the ausie spiders from the last thread, this is NY.

I say let it loose a decent distance from your house. you have it trapped, so there's no viable reason to kill it, at this point.

Yeah, that's what I figure. I was just a little angry when it jumped 3 feet from the top of a door frame, in my direction. I'll take a picture and toss it ... perhaps in a neighbor's bushes.

Spiders are wonderful creatures. They eat all kinds of nasty bugs, vermin and mosquitos. I never kill spiders. Just carry it out, and it will thank you by eating bothersome insects.

Gah..I hate spiders. I was just working outside and I dug up two mother spiders carrying huge egg sacs. I promptly beat them to death with my shovel.

it's just a spider. Most species can't hurt you.

It's probably scared s***less of you, too. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Yeah thats the funny part about people being scared of small animals. Imagine yourself in their shoes, and then think about which situation is really scarier. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

You trapped him in a plastic cup?! How could you! Spiders have feelings too, y'know.
Now just sit him on the carpet, open the front door, and politely ask him to leave.

Alternatively, slowly drown him in your bath, because it's just a stupid spider.

I put it outside yesterday. You don't think I'd go to sleep with it still inside my house, do you?

I wonder if spiders feel anger, or a need for revenge...
