Damn, I tried so many times to mimic the carbonite freezing with my figures. It never occured to me to actually freeze him in water, I always wrapped him in so much tape it was like a tape cube around him.

Same here, I would made a whole scene with guys trapped under the ice and the lego "Rescue" team trying to break him out with saws and stuff. Good times...

If you want a better effect, freeze him in coke.

Lol I froze my Han Solo when I was a little kid in water. I kept him in there for like 8 months, then I dropped him on the kitchen floor and he broke in half along with the ice cause he had been in there for so long.
"DON'T TASE ME BRO!" lol

I used to do that with G.I. Joes. I tried it with seltzer once too. Big mess.

I melted Han Solo using a desk lamp.

My two stormtroopers were melting him for his ride to Darth Vader in a tie fighter.. (as a kid it made sense).

Yeah ... yeah he died.

I broke a toy of mine by freezing him. Did it so many times his limb got loose and fell off.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

I never had this much fun with action figures. :o

Wrestling figures were the best. I used to add red felt tip to their heads to pretend they were bleeding.

try this:

- build a tank out of lego big enough for a few lego men. ie should be able to hold water (were lego actually very good at holding water)
- get some cornflour (you might have some in the kitchen, other kind of flours don't work)
- mix the cornflour with a small amount of water so it's a gooey consistancy
- put your lego men in the tank
- pour the goo in the tank.
- despite the goo being very easy to pour, it'll be suprisingly hard if it has nowhere to go, your lego men are more-or-less doomed until you dismantle the tank
