I really expected it to suck once I saw that John Singleton was directing it (2 Fast 2 Furious)...Well it didn't. It was freaking awesome. It was one of the best action movies I've seen this year. The acting, the story, the humor, the dialouge, the overall direction and the ACTION. Holy crap. One of the coolest fight scenes I've ever seen happens in this movie. Go see it. You might not like is as much as I did, but I think there is a good chance you'll like it.

It's not dumb, it's probably the most badass movie I've seen since The Boondock Saints.

That movie came out in 1991...after that he made such 'classics' as Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, Shaft, Baby Boy, and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Usually when a director falls in a slump like that, they don't get up anytime soon. So please. No education needed.

Trailer looks kickass. This is one movie I see previews for and say damn, I gotta see that.

I thought it was going to be one of those movies that looks bad *** in the trailers but really is going to suck hardcore..
But I might give it a chance.. perhaps I'll see it tonight.

I'm fire proof. Besides, you can only place so much blame on a director if they aren't the ones writing the movie. They have to work with what they're given.

Shaft isn't too bad.

And it is unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter-day sins. The man once made good movies, ergo he is still capable of doing so. Every director goes on a slump now and then.

I saw it last night as well. It really did surprise me, and was a pretty badass movie.

There was one part in that movie that scared the CRAP out of my friends and I. We jumped like a bunch of little school girls...If you've seen the movie you might get this.

I loved it when they capped those two guys getting out of the car, they were just like **** YOU, BANG!
