"Star Wars Teacher" Strikes Back!
2005-08-16, 3:17 PM #1
As most of you know, my English III Honors Teacher is...let's just say "preoccupied" with Star Wars. If you read my previous thread you know all about him. Now let me tell you of some recent occurances.

I walk into his class and guess what I see on the projector screen? Star Wars: Episode III, Revenge of the Sith playing during class. As most of you know it hasn't even come out on DVD yet (legally), and already he "somehow" go a copy and was playing it in class for homeroom.

He also tells us how Yoda wants us to conduct in class. He starts to bring in Star Wars philosophy into his lectures, and points to his huge Yoda action figure overlooking the class, telling us to take the hard but good path to good grades.

After class one day, I picked up his Yoda figure, and he sternly looked at me and said "Are you touching my Yoda?!"

Because of these events I suggest we make him an honary Massassian, for going above and beyond the call of duty of a normal Star Wars fan. I will post more updates in the future.

I'm not sure ANY massassian takes Star Wars THAT seriously. Well...maybe a couple. But really, a TEACHER acting like that in class? Thats beyond pathetic.
Life is beautiful.

I personally think a padded cell and a straight jacket is what he needs, imo... :p

Scary.

I'm not quite sure whether I'd think he's awesome or if I'd just laugh.

Still cool that you have a teacher who's a Star Wars fan, though.

He doesn't seem weird to me. If anything, he's being tongue-in-cheek about it all. I wish I had him as a teacher...

No offense, but I feel it would be an insult to Brian to make a fool an honorary Massassian. This is not a laughingstock kind of site.

That's not really the first time I've heard of teachers quoting Star Wars in class. It happens alot at various Colleges. Yoda gets quoted quite a bit for his "there is no try" lines.

Ummmm.... I was sort of being sarcastic. You know, sort of like trying to point the irony and hilarity of it all .

P.S. This is not a laughingstock kind of site? Just take a look at some the recent posts on here.....lol, j/k.

I didn't even see Episode 3. Probably its worth just as a rental.

I don't think, in all cases, Massassian = Very strong SW fan. I don't think everyone knows everything about SW. (I could be wrong)

Please tell me your teacher didn't dress up for the movie opening.

God forbid the man have an opinion. For instance, I don't think that Ep 3 was anywhere near the OT (except maybe ANH, but that's my least favorite out of the OT).

Awesome. I'd love to see him on massassi. Anyone who says this is pathetic is just stupid--the man's a teacher, he has to connect to the kids somehow, and why not through his love of a timeless classic like Star Wars?

I totally agree, he's a great teacher, and has inspired many students. Any teacher that can relate almost anything to a timeless epic like Star Wars is pretty good at making kids think. I really want to get some pictures of his room, hmmmm, maybe a camera phone might due the trick.

He doesn't have to see the movie to have an opinion on what he thinks it could be.

I did. If you're seeing a movie at 12am, you might as well go the extra mile. It is Star Wars, afterall..

Getting up at 12am is one thing. But to actually be bothered organising a costume and everything, thats a lot more then just one extra mile...
Anyway, sounds like a cool teacher, give me a slightly weird teacher over the stock standard any day.

i did, and everyone there (even including non-nerds) cheered for me every time i walked into the theater. but really, i guess if you're seeing the midnight showing you're a nerd on some level. that's really sad that you think Ep3 is rental-worthy, though.

I didn't get time to see it between finals --> holdiay --> graduation --> job :(

I have to wait for DVD.
