So, I watched the first 4 episodes (3 if you count the pilot episode as one) on Sci-fi, catching the new trailer and the few scenes they show from the movie. So, getting slightly hooked, I went out and bought the DVDs.

BEST. DVD. PURCHASE. EVAR!

OMG! I can't see why Fox would have canned this. It's so different that it's a breath of fresh air and quite wicked. Maybe Sci-Fi will pick it up, or Fox will bring it back after the movie. But, anyhow, Awesome show.

So far, my favorite episodes are Bushwhacked, Shindig (OMG, loved it), Our Mrs. Reynolds, Out of Gas, Trash (Priceless), The Message, & Objects in Space. I'm also really glad he removed the one scene from Objects in Space, it works a lot better with out it, IMO.

Unfortunately moronity is the one natural resource that lasts precisely as long as humanity. So, great shows like Firefly get cancelled all the time.

I haven't heard of it before for some reason.

That's because Firefly is synonomous with Awesome and Awesome and Linkin Park don't go well together.

I've only caught a few of them... It's not exactly on at a time that's convienent for me, and I'm too poor right now to go out and buy ANY DVD box sets unless they're dirt cheap.

That said, what I've seen is fun to watch and reasonably original, but I haven't seen anything that's truely hooked me yet.

Of course, I said the same thing about Stargate awhile back.

No way was Shindig the best, almost every episode was equally brilliant. No, just every episode. I love that show.
