Is there anyone out there that knows where to get stormtrooper armor for under $400 or $500 ? If the bodysuit's included, that'd be great, but armor woul be fine also. I do have 3 years til I can actually join the 501st division, but I think it would be cool to get a suit anyways.

PS. If it's on Ebay, I probably can't use it. I'm looking for a jaob, but I can't come up with 400, 500 dollars in a week or two to pay for it.

:)

If you're interested in wasting your money talk to Rob. I'm fairly sure I remember he bought a suit.

If you wan't to save, try looking into vacuum forming. It's a cheaply made item that can make a ton of stuff once you get the materials.

He bought one a few nights ago apparently. Made from original molds I believe. Cost him a god $900 sans E11.
nope.

Well yeah, it's in production.

I have the money sitting in a savings account waiting to be sent in for my armor.

There is no armor for $400-500. End of discussion.

If there was, it sucks, isn't accurate, and will fall apart in hours. Where as mine is made of impact ABS plastic, the same stuff they make sports equipment with.

Your size is also important. If you're fat, don't bother getting stormie armor. You'll only look like a try hard. A taller slim build is ideal, but a shorter maybe stockier build will do.

My advice, get a job, then start nosing around. You have to research, and find these people. E-bay suits are okay, if you get one of the FX kits. Buy a suit that COMES with the helmet and has the helmet being produced at the same time as the suit, together. Otherwise the color of your helmet and your suit may not match, and that would look silly.

Sounds like I have the perfect build for it -- too bad I lack the money..and I'm moving to the middle of nowhere :p

Why would you spend that much money on armor from a science fiction movie?

What else are you going to do with it?

Drunkeness, brain damage, and venereal diseases are temporary. Geekiness lasts FOREVER!

-Although I'd rather live the last 24 hours of Chris Farley's life than spent $900 on stormtrooper armor, to be honest.

If I had the disposible income, I'd get a stormie suit in a heartbeat, among other SW costumes.

Well yeah, I have tons of disposable income right now.

So it's getting spent on things that I want. :P

And to answer the question of what I'd do in stormie armor.. well, everything!

Shopping, going to parties, showing up at work, killing infidels, saving kittens, shaving kittens, etc

You know we'll be expecting pics when you get the suit, right?

Okay, Ill star answering people's questions. No, I don't pay any bills. I'm only 14 years old. Second, I did find a 475 ST siut on an Ebay look alike site. EWoss or something. Problem was, i can't come up with $475 in time to pay the guy if I won the auction. And yes, hopefully in less than a year I will have pictures of me in my suit here. The one I'm looking at is yes, ABS plastic and costs $580. The guy makes suits for the 501st so im guessing its good. Thanks anyways.

I started working on a TIE flightsuit. Going to replace the helmet (Rubies sucks) and I need a chestbox. Suit, boots, gloves, Imp patches, and hoses I have. Should be about $200 or to wrap up if I get around to it.
