Isn't this the doom movie where they took out demons, mars, and gave the doomguy a name?

No thanks.

That whole thing was a hoax. This is, essentially, a movie version of Doom 3.
Moo.

Yeah, mapping the human genome what? NO it's teleportation! That's the only way it makes sense for hell to break loose! HELL CANNOT EVOLVE LOOSE. IT CANNOT MUTATE LOOSE. IT BREAKS LOOSE. THROUGH PORTALS.

Yeah, the human genome bit is stupid. Oh well, it still looks like a cool movie.

Wow, that looks about as bad as doom 3: Bad lighting, repetative gameplay, and a lack of storyline.

Did anyone see: Those commandos had flashlight hax!

Kirby...

Doom 3 had a storyline and I really enjoyed it. It had dynamic lighting. But yes, the gameplay was fairly repetative and hell was a major letdown.

But look I'm sure they'll manage to tie the human genome somehow into it.

So many videogames use teleportation as a plot device.
Steal my dreams and sell them back to me.....

It's so mystical. Anything could happen! Even an accidental portal to hell!

The trailer, besides for the beginning about the science gone wrong, shows repeating seens of armor-clad troops swiveling guns (also using the flashlight h4x) in darkness, facing screaming demons, stuff dying/exploding . . .

Carmack is achieving proficiency in a great skill of GL: milking the cash cow.

I remember seeing a footage of a first person view scene from the movie somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.
