Besides Real Player, of course... there's no way I'm letting that onto my computer!

So...

any suggestions? I seem to recall suggestions being made in the past, but I can't for the life of me remember any of them...

Absolutely none other than Real Player that i'm aware of. Even like the plugin for winamp or whatever still requires Real to be installed.. yeah.

Find and download Real Alternative.. it's a set of codecs that lets you play those types of files without installing the horrible, horrible program that is RealPlayer.

Get Real Alternative, then download Media Player Classic. That'll play nearly anything, and its got a helluva lot more features and less bloat.
