They've had PowerMac's for years..?

Sorry, been out for a curry! The specs be... (basic)

1.5GHz Processor
64MB ATI Graphics card
512MB RAM (I'll buy some more later, but apple's prices are inflated)
80Gig HD
8x DVD-RW
And some other stuff.

It's small, and mainly awesome!

WOOWOOOOOO!!

Nope, they're the Imacs. And very nice they are too.

So you can add more RAM to these Mac laptops? I mean, you can open the laptop up and place more RAM in it?

Aye, it's got 512 in it, but if I had wanted more I'd've had to extend the limit on my credit card ;)

Apple charges through the nose for RAM, a friend of mine has shown me a website that does apple RAM and undercuts 'em :D

Neat

How about graphics card (chips, whatever call them), HD and processer in the laptop? Can you change and upgrade them later too?

Just get Corsair RAM. It's the kind they use anyways.

Any word on the cost?
2005-08-23, 4:15 PM #19
Right so you have brought a Powerbook not a PowerMac

http://www.apple.com/powerbook/index15.html

a Powermac G5 is a Tower unit

http://www.apple.com/powermac/

The iMac is a Flat screen computer that is 2" thick

http://www.apple.com/imac/

Sorry I work for Apple :) so I hate to get picky on the switchers

and on the RAM issue buy Kingston 2 Year warrenty rather than Cosairs 1 year, or Crucial.

An Engineer's months wages ;)
2005-08-23, 4:25 PM #21
Crucial and Corsair use better components, and all RAM has a lifetime warranty (all value RAM at least, and you don't need anything better). Get Corsair.
