Black light? There's also types of inks that are made to respond to UV light, like a stamp at a theme park that allows you to get back in. All you have to do is mix the ink in with the material that you used to make the glass.

I got a cool keychain that glows for 10 years (no on off switch, totally uses phosphorus) from here. I got it 4 years ago and still glows bright today (given it's dark). So, things can glow for a long time. Forever...no. And if this guy does use phosphorus, I don't suggest drinking it. :\

It could probably use the same thing, just create a layer of plastic outside the tube.

Well, "extremely" would be a matter of opinion. But in very small amounts it can't hurt you, and will still glow.

Thought so.

You're right, "extremely" wasn't the right word. I meant in comparison with other isotopes / rad-active elements.

my friend usta take old bottles and fill them with water, then put the center of a highlighter in the water for a few days... you cant drink it, but it will glow with a black light.

Would it work if you mixed it with the actual alcohol??

it may, but why would you want to? since she said you can't drink it, i'd think it would be a waste of good vodka

Like it's been said, the answer is right in the auction:
JUST PLACE THIS BOTTLE UNDER A REAL LIGHT OR BLACK LIGHT FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY GLOW!!
Almost any neon color will glow under black light, including highlighters. There are also types of inks or chemicals that show up only under black light as well. Certain clubs might use them to mark you to identify that you've paid or already been in, like one around me does.

Luminescent things that glow only for a certain amount of time can generally be "recharged" by UV light (the sun, black lights, and flourescent lights to some degree) and will glow by themselves for some time without the UV light on them.

You might try scouting around google for either of those types of chemicals.

[edit: You might also try putting a scorpion under black light for something interesting. They glow bluish-white. You can grind it up into a paste and make a glowing scorpion martini.]
