Yet another Airsoft thread...

Hey guys, I'm the forums paintball fanboy, but as of late, I've been getting more and more interested in Airsoft. Right now, for the hell of it, I've picked out the one I'd buy if I were ever to get into it. The rifle I've chosen is the Classic Army CA33 or something like that. It's an H&K G3A3 replica, can you guys tell me more about my choice? I've heard Classic Army has high quality outsides, but the internals aren't as great. And I've heard that Tokyo Marui's outsides aren't as great, but their internals can't be beat. Can anyone give me any insight on this?

Talk to CadetLee. He's probably the best person here to answer your questions.

Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with Classic Army's line - however, I do have a CA MP5SD5, and I like it. :)

This might be worth looking at:

If there's a review on a gun, chances are that it'll be listed there.

I have a few Tokyo Marui guns (Benelli, G36, P90, AUG) and the aforementioned CA MP5..if you are ever interested in those, let me know and I'll give my opinion of them.

You can also try www.airsoftplayers.com and www.airsoftretreat.com - there are also many other regional forums.. www.airsoftohio.com is a good one - also www.neasg.org (northeast)..etc. Try to find a group of players in your area..you may have a chance to actually handle/shoot some guns before you make a $300 commitment. :)

Edit: Yes - TM has a reputation for awesome internals. I must say that the TM MP5 line feels cheap on the outside, though - and the latest Classic Army guns are supposed to be quite good, both inside and out.
woot!

The M870 has got to be one the best things to come out of Airsoft. Sadly, finding one is a bigger concern than the amount of money, the only ones that are still available in stores are the full stock versions.

If only Maruzen would do a SPAS-12. :(

Before splashing out on a gun, I'd suggest you actually go to a site and play a few games with a rental to see whether you're going to continue to play. Once at a game, you can also take a look at other peoples guns, and even ask to hold them/fire them. The airsoft community, in general, is very friendly (at least, it seems to be in the UK)

I want to get a Tokyo Mauri M1911 spring air soft gun, but I can't find any good US stores selling them.

You'd probably be better off getting a UHC 1911. I have a UHC USP and they copied TM's design, I assume they did with the 1911 as well. While the quality isn't as great as TM's probably is, the price is alot better. Also imported TM spring guns would have the trademarks removed and be around the $30+ mark due to them having to import them.

Here's a UHC 1911 that you can find at Airsoft Atlanta for $20,

Here's some Oklahoma airsoft suppliers,

http://www.kastway.com/ Kastway Airsoft, they don't have a physical store but their warehouse is in southern Oklahoma, so shipping should be less from them.

Jungletoy has a store in Tulsa, here's their info,

The TM springers have excellent range - UHC can't really compete.

I might sell a UHC MP5SD3 spring rifle, if you want it..*shrug*

Poweredgeusa.com sells TM springers with intact trademarks.

I had a look over poweredge earlier, no TM springers?

I'd probably blow the three-hundred bucks just because it looks cool. But hey, I'm not a very sophisticated guy. Just stickin' to what I'm good at.

I'd really like one of these, the medic's rifle from BF2 - L85 (with attached laser please.)

What do you guys think? If I get into airsoft, this'd be my choice. probably anyway.

edit: ewwy, read a bad review for it, shame... looked my style.

SA80 For the win, shame i could only find one that was bolt action (sprig powered) as its the only airsoft gun i would have to buy if it was auto or semi-auto, still wouldnt mind an ak though if i had the spare cash.

(By The Way, It's Cheaper Here!!!)

Don't buy any SA80/L85 guns, I don't believe they've made any yet that were unrealistic - Ie DIDN'T break down.

Also, I'd suggest getting a red dot or reflex sight before a laser, as some sites dont allow lasers to be used.

That, and a good RD will let you aim far better.

There are rumors that are circulating about both Tokyo Marui and Classic Army having plans to make the L85 as an AEG. Granted they're rumors, but guns that were first heard about in rumor were revealed to be true. Ie: CA's M249 and their Steyr Aug plans.

Just have to wait and see what happens.
