How do I select which mic input to use in Half Life and Hl2 for the voice chat system? I've searched everywhere and cant figure it out.

You have multiple mic inputs? First off, check out to see if your mic is set to record; Go to your "Volume Control" window, Click Options->Properties, click "Recording" and "Ok", and make sure your Mic input is selected.

Then when you go into your game, make sure volume is set right. If it doesnt work you could try just putting it into your "Line In" and seeing if it works.
