I am now a father. Some of you may remeber me posting about my finance being pregnant in the fall, and now we have the result.

Sadly though, Erin and I are no longer together, and this taers me up. Not becuase I miss being with Erin, trust me, I learned how bad it gets being controlled by a moody and altogether inconsistant woman. I'm sad for the my daughter Madison's sake. Erin is planning on moving to New Hampshire this summer while I will still be here in IL. As you could understand, I makes me very sad that yesterday may be the last time I see my daughter for possibly years.

Despite all of that stuff going on, Madison is still a beautiful healthy baby.

Now if the IC is still up, could I get a link to it, otherwise would someone mind hosting two small pictures for me, just so I can show you guys my little angel.

Prove that to the courts and you might be granted custody of your child.

She's a beautiful baby BTW, congrats [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] I hope everything works out for you.

Most women are moody and altogether inconsistant when pregnant...

Well, before she was pregnant it was a problem too.

I just feel like at this point all I really hope is that Madison will never doubt how much I love her. I really hope I get to see her again before they move.

All I know right now is that I have never felt so happy as I did when she fell asleep there in my arms, as I held her close to me. And I was so so sad to leave.

If the mother is considering refusing visits from you, then I'd definitely consider going to court. Also if you think she'll be incompetent then it's obviously a good idea.
Other than that, just make sure you have an active role in her life. If it ends up that you only see her a few times a year, just make sure you stay in regular contact over the phone, maybe introduce her to msn when she's old enough to type! If you form a decent relationship with her, even if it's not the father role you had hoped for, you'll still be a close relative who she'll be able to trust with stuff she can't go to her mum with, and someone she can go to on holiday.

True is his statement yet fathers seem to have a disadvantage when it comes to being able to see their child(ren). I would quickly find a way to get a court order to keep her in the state. Like Avenger said, you have a father's right to see your child.

I don't want to try to take this all through the courts. There seems to me to be little reason to make Erin resent me, and possibly infulence how Madison would end up thinking of me in the process. Moving from IL to NH isn't like she's moving to Russia, I will still be able to see madison, although, becuase of my finances, I know it won't be anywhere neear as often as I would like to.

I would like to thank you all for your words of support, and I would like to add in that I demand you compliment my baby girl more [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Well, when she broke up with me in October, We had made plans to be married and living together before January. We were making plans, I was looking for an apartment for us, and I was also looking into the job market in the town where she lives, and I was getting ready to transfer into a college there too.

Please don't ever try to refer to a child in that manner. No matter what your morals are, a child born to two people who are married or born out of wedlock is a human being. My daughter is now my reason for being alive, she is not a mistake, she is my child and I love her.

I never said she was a mistake, and I certainly have the best hopes for her. I'm just saying this could have been so easily prevented had you two just planned a little bit better... ie, making sure you were actually prepared to spend the rest of your lives together before trying to make a family?

Just get a sex change, and suddenly the court will take the baby from her and give it to you, since you know, now you're a girl too.

It's silly that men don't have equal privilages over a child of his making. Just because he doesn't breast feed it doesn't mean the kid doesn't need a father. Because you guys made the commitment of a child, for it's sake, you should stay within the same town, not country. I don't know, I never had to deal with one less parent figure around me, but I know that if I were lacking one, I'd have a few less opinions on a few things, and a lot more carelessness. Where my mother is wrong about something, my father is. They're the team that keeps me modivated. I think I'd get in a lot more trouble if one of them weren't in my life.

I should say I'm sorry for how I reacted just then, from what you said I ended up remebering when, oh back when I was like 9, My parents yelling at me telling me I was an accident. That was something that really made me feel worthless, and i know that i don't want anyone to say anything like that to or imply it about my daughter.

A bit of an uplifting story for you guys about the same kind of thing. This is a story about my friend's dad, who went through divorce in California and won custody of the kids. Oh, and he defended himself through part of it too. ahttp://www.divorcestory.com/DivorceStory.htm

Great read if you have the time.

That su><ors.
Kinda reminds me of when my mom called me a "son of a *****" one time, except it didn't hit me as hard.
Were your parents just mad at the time or did they really think that?

Apparently according to a few different sources, it is true, I was an unwanted accident, and the reason they yelled at me telling me that was becuase they were angry.

Your baby is cute.

I am involved with a person much like your child's mother. I learned to deal with it. Just don't ever try to argue with them because if you do...whammo! your single again.

I hope, for both your's and your Baby's sake, that this will all work out in the end.

Why would you subject yourself to that? I'm going to argue about whether or not you should, i jsut want to know why you'd keep a relationship like that where you have to tiptoe over everything just to keep things civil.
