For who, granny, or yourself? If granny wants to live so bad, she will find meaning in life and find a cause. There's a certain level of unnaturalness that spooks me about keeping someone or something alive for my own enjoyment, or if they can't let go of life. That isn't a lack of love, it's a lack of illogical emotions. I still love granny, but letting her time come isn't NOT loving her. It's not letting myself become attached to the idea of immortality.

Wow, what a convolutedly stupid post that has nothing to do with what I said.

Not to mention we don't even know if the cat is deathly ill or not. If it is, I'm sure it'd rather be cured than to die a slow, painful death or even die at all. That's how most animals, including humans, are instinctually.

You seriously need to stop putting words in other people's mouths. This is not Terri Schiavo, this is not a dying grandmother who won't be allowed to take her final sleep, this is a cat with a sickness.

Not to mention this is bringing this thread to a place it doesn't need to be that you always seem to want to take these types of threads.

This is sounding a lot like Diabetes (hell, i should know: i've got a diabetic cat). How is the cat's weight? With mine, that seems to have been the determining factor (he was really really overweight when he started haveing pancreitis (sp?) attacks. He has them on and off at least once per year now, and the vet visits have made him paranoid, but he's still with us after almost 5 years now (of having Diabetes).

If its kidney failure, i really don't know what to say. My last cat went into kidney failure after a second round of Viral Entaritis (sp?). We had to put him down :(. I seriously hope that it doesn't come to that in your case.

Good luck, and please give us an update when you can.

Not really. Human life is more important than a cat.

I must have missed that part in my post. I'm just kind of defending the accusations that I'm a heartless and sick individual. It's cute you think I was addressing you, though.

While I do generally agree with what Kirby is saying (that's a ****ing first), at the same time I find his comment to be completely unrelated and largely unneccesary.

Maybe it was. Oh well. I was talking in reference to the giant shotgun shell that was supposedly posted in humor.

Uh.. no. I'm not. The importance of cat's life should not even be compared to that of a humans.

Backup your claim that I'm a hypocrite. Quit insulting me, and trying to pass that off as reason.

Here's enough, mr. shooting animals for their inferior species.

Well, isn't that what the food chain all about?
That statement in itself was hypocritical, that's like saying... "OMG YOU EAT COWS CUZ OF THEIR INFERIOR SPECIES! LOLOL!O!!" or "YOU EAT VEGETABLES BECUZ OF THEIR INFERIOR SPECIES!"
2005-08-29, 10:42 PM #57
The hell it is, hypoman.

I eat cows because their flesh tastes good.

I don't shoot cats for fun when they suffer because of their inferior race.

My cat is as much a member of my family as mom, dad, or brother. I'd do just as much to save her life as anyone elses. She's living, she has feelings, and shes f***ing sexy as hell. So you can just shut your mouth.

I'm not arguing with you. About 5% of my posts are actually serious. That one was one the 95% that aren't.

Monoxide, sometimes you're such a freakin tool. :mad:

surely you would use a desert eagle! :p

Anyway, take her to the vet, and pay her lots of attention and love.

My dog has lived 6 years past her predicted life span because we spoil her so.
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}

It can't be his catchphrase. It's too hypocritical.

Hey dude! Best of luck with your cat. kIRBY and SAJN got the two extremes here, I think. I value the lives of my human family members tremendously more than those of pets, for... sorta obvious reasons. However, I love my dog, he's awesome, if he was sick I would pay for treatment, to an extent which I have yet to think about. I'm not sure what the price cap on my dog's continued existence would be IMO.

But hey. E'ebody chill, aiight? Coke Zero.
