I've always loved Opera - I hadn't even gone looking for the mac version yet! Bargain!

now i can test it and see if i really like it. i used to think it didn't make a difference that the ads were there but it does.

I like it, but Ytmnd sounds don't play, and I can't find a tool to resize the huge text.
nope.

so this means i get opera for free?
2005-08-30, 12:53 PM #10
You could always get it for free, but it cost 39USD to get rid of the banner ads at the top.

is it worth using over firefox?

i can't be arsed with it if firefox is still > opera.

[edit: i'm gonna edit this post after a few replies, i totally dont wanna start a browser vs geek kinda thread]

I just got the code today and started using it, and I must say, I like some of the features in opera, like the tiles and cascading and such. It's a lot better then last time I tried it over 3 years ago probably.

Does this version have the integrated BitTorrent, or has that not come out yet?

I ... love... this ... browser. It's got so much more over firefox, slightly slower loading times when you use the tweaked firefox but I really don't care. This browser is much more versatile.

*falls in love*

it's just all the little things... like the mouseover ... in the ranks, the mouseover will appear below before appearing in the dialog box thing. It's really nice to use.

Hmm, thanks for the link.

I only use it for testing but it's nice to do that without ads ;)

I got one to try it out later. I will proably stick to Firefox because of some of the extensions that I can't live without.

I will try it, but like BurrBoy said, I have Firefox extensions that I can't live without anymore.
