Woot, finally got this old crappy laptop running.... but guess which OS? That's right, XP... who knew it would run on a PII 266 w/ 64 megs of RAM? Gotta fix this keyboard though; somebody stepped on it and screwed up the spacebar... its really hard to press.

As well as a three-legged racehorse on a muddy track with a dead jockey. And the horse is dead too.

Way better than linux did. Actually it's surprisingly fast as long as I don't, you know, try to run anything...

Dammit, I just ripped the spacebar completely off while trying to fix it... this is annoying typing like this.

So now you've got a laptop that can run nothing but Windows. So...what are you going to do with it? :p

Jukebox/emergency word processor

Woot just fixed the spacebar. Much better. Anyways, this was just my linux practise laptop; and I've had enough of that... and I'd have Win98 installed on it, but it didn't like it for some reason and froze up during the installation. So XP it is... anyways it seems to run IE and Messenger just fine, though messenger is pretty slow. And it doesn't recognize the scroll wheel on the mouse I plugged into it, for some reason.

Then you ran the totally wrong linux distro or something. If you tried to run any distro with KDE or Gnome, of course its gonna fart all over the place.

You needed fluxbox. Slick, sexy, and runs on a 150mhz P1.

Didn't I swear a while back that the next time I heard that I was going to snap and kill a bunch of people?

I'm running XP on a PII 233 w/128 megs of RAM. Sure, it's a little sluggish but all the programs I use work fine so I have no real problems with it.

Try NetBSD, it runs great on older computers.

I don't think that's actually anything to be proud of...

Fluxbox FTW!

Anyway, that pretty cool. I wish I had a laptop.
