Alright. I just placed the order for my pc upgrade. Hear me roar.

I upgraded 3 items. Motherboard, cpu, and video card. Everything else is up to snuff.

Motherboard: Gigabyte with 1 pci-e 16x slot, 3 pci-e slots, and 3 regular pci slots.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 1MB 90nm Rev. E

Video Card: ATi Radeon X800 XL 256 MB

I can't wait for this, guys. It is excellent. I'm going to be using my pc for video editing here at home, which I am really pumped about, since the vid card has high resolution DVI output, I can use my HDTV as an output monitor to view my footage in full HD.

Then there's that whole thing about being able to play games with the video settings cranked. Oh man. This is awesome.

Psht, I'm pretty sure I have the worst computer ever.

Im still on Windows 98, and the computer is like 6 years old.

Not to mention only 9.5 GB of drive space.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but if you plan on doing any video editing with HDTV sources, prepare for massive wait times. Yeah, even on that.

I have an AMD FX-55, 2GB RAM, and a 6800GT, and on more complex clips, I still have to wait to render (and that's just standard 640x480 res). You jump to HDTV, your PC is gonna CRY. :/
