I've recently discovered that shouting quickly draws a lot of attention in a public area.

List some other words that draw attention in [crowded] public areas.

It's also funny to start looking at the ceiling for no reason in a crowded place, maybe start pointing if you have a friend with you that in on it, and eventually, everyone else will be looking at the ceiling. Then you can leave as they all continue to stare an nothing.

There has been a scientific (somewhat) study on this subject. Too bad I haven't seen the original work, just some quotes in some general news place. But anyway, according to empirical results, just one person looking up won't stop anybody - at most it will make them have a very quick glance. However, if I remember correctly, three or four people would already be statistically enough to already actually stop somebody. So, for this trick, it would be best to get some friends to play along.
