Future posting...
2005-09-04, 11:02 PM #1
I fixed the broken packages on the server so the future posting SHOULD stop at some point in the near future. If not... uh... I don't know what else to try.

Thanks much. I hope it works.

Well, you got a new bike. You could always run away all the commotion, laughing maniacally as you disappear in the distance.

If I were an admin, I would have changed the time of Brian's post right after he posted it.

You could always empty a clip into the server if the fix doesnt work.

I'm confused. I've never seen that pic before, is that actually the server?

It's an old pic. Since the upgrade you've got to imagine it with even more wires.

It's a little Photoshop I did when the server was having issues a few years ago ;)

I've been told to NOT touch the levels, as it's really difficult to upload levels, and Brian would have rather worked on the new system than sat and explained it to me. I take a look at the files Queu, though, and unless it was recently emptied, no one's submitted anything.

The file queue in the admin script is not active. Ask DSETTAHR about the file queue.

A few months ago I submitted that Stockade Map that I made for the JK dedicated server. How much longer until it gets posted?
2005-09-05, 6:15 PM #30
I am so glad I don't have to worry about file posting anymore. Come to think of it, why did I ever do it for that long? TO BRING SMILES TO YOUR FACES THATS WHY!! PRAISE ME!!!!!!!

I got future posted :( That post is an hour ahead. I was in my car at 4:39 local time.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Also, Brian, something else I noticed:

The thread listing index shows the correct person who posted last, along with the correct time. Even if there is a future post beyond that.

Just thought that might help pinpoint it.
2005-09-07, 11:18 AM #39
Why do we call it future posting? Isn't it technically past posting?
2005-09-07, 11:28 AM #40
It's future posting because the post that is responsible for destroying the order is always several minutes in the future.
