PalmOS Programs
2005-09-07, 5:36 PM #1
I want you to suggest the best programs for the following functions. They need to be free, and I'd LIKE to get them tonight. I have a Tungsten E with a poopload of space [plus 2 256 sticks].

1. Math. I need graphing calculator functions. I need it to work like any graphing calculator works, that way, it isn't so hard to learn, since I can use a graphing calculator already.

2. Music. I want to be able to put all of my music on this bad boy. I'll be dedicating an entire stick to it. I have a lot of .wmps as well as .MP3s, and I'd like it to be able to handle a few others.

3. Word processing. Before my Palm recently got whiped, I had microsoft word for it. I no longer have access to the friend who sent me that, so now I need a word processor that has formatting and whatnot, but it really doesn't need spellcheck as it'll have to go through a spellcheck before it's printed anyway.

4. Palm games. Chess, anything. I need them to be graphically proficient games, and rather small and simplistic. An RPG or something would be sweet, though.

5. Anything else you can think of.

LINKS PLEASE!

Oh, and I realize that I could use google... but I have a LOT of options, and little to no time. I saw REALplayer has a free palmOS program... but I hate realplayer for windows.

I'm also a minimalist, so the smaller the program and simpler the graphics, the better. I also like programs that retain my current display colors.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the PDA.

There are so few of us, and between us you have Palm, Linux-based and PocketPC owners. I only have a PocketPC so I can't help you pick out Palm software.

http://easycalc.sourceforge.net/ <-- EasyCalc. Graphing Calculator software for PalmOS. I used to use it, and I can vouch for the fact that it works.
