Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 was Relased October 9, 1997, and still rocks hard after 8 years of fun.

SO...I'm thinking special events on the Jedi Knight Dedicated Server all day(October 9th falls on a sunday). How does that sound?

And to make this post legit, how many people think they would be able to play? I'm considering setting up another server just for that day.

Most likely it'll be the Massassi Level Packs with SS3 v9.0, some JK Arena, the CTF pack too, and of course some Drazen Isle RPG. ;)

I actually remember buying it. I didnt think it would be that much of a moment in my life. The box for it when it first came out was swank.

I'd be in if I wasn't behind a god damn router. If you used hamachi, I'd be able to play, but that idea's already been shot down.

Have fun. :(

According to Wikipedia, JK was released on September 30, 1997.

It's been years and years, but JK is still IMO the best LEC game and one of the best games EVAR!

Well Wikipedia is wrong. ;)

* But *

CNET's GameSpot.com seems to show JK's Release as: October 30, 1997(wrong)
IGN: October 9, 1997
Gamespy: October 9, 1997
Click here for in interesting review of JK saying quote "Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II is scheduled for release on October 9, 1997"
JediNet.com: October 1, 1997(wrong)

I would say it's a pretty safe bet it was released 10/9/97. ;)
