I prefer mine (:p)- you do realize that the car you listed has a stock 1.5 liter with an automatic tranny..?

I'm posting this with a hope that your post was, in fact, sarcastic.. :p
woot!

I think, as TimeWolf said, it's a Civic.

CadetLee, oh yeah its definately sarcasm. If I actually owned that thing, I'd cut something inside of it electrical in hopes to start it on fire and collect insurance.

Shouldn't be too hard, with fuel lines running right next to the audio system.. :p

I think it looks cool. Not that I would ever be caught driving it.

Figures that not only would an AOLien do something like that, but would also leave the engine completely untouched (except for the air intake, as per the description).

I laugh at all these riced out civics and geo metros I see on the road. It's not like they are fooling anyone--all those panels are is extra weight, which theoretically slows the car down. (in fact, a spoiler actually slows a car down a little bit as a side effect of its job-- to decrease lift) . Never mind that you will never be able to legally drive that fast even if that civic could actually do it, which it probably couldn't) Plus, those panels they used to make a fake lowering job will probably snap off on the first speed bump or dip that the car goes over.

Face it: A civic with a cheap and nasty body kit is still a s***ty car.

Actually, a spoiler is an upside-down wing which pushes down ont he car as air passes by it, increasing traction on the back end and improving handling.

you would get increased traction (and reduced speed) as a side effect of the push-down effect of the spoiler, but the real purpose like I said is to decrease lift. Without a spoiler, air rushes under the car at high speeds, and the underpan acts like an airplane wing., and this causes the back wheels to lift. A spoiler negates this lift by pushing it back down.

dictionary.com confirms:

An air deflector mounted usually at the rear of an automobile to reduce lift at high speeds.

Stock 1.5 liter?

Cars like that make me sick. ITS A SLOW PIECE OF ****. People who buy a cheap import econo-box and add WORTHLESS upgrades and appearance modifications make me want to absolutely puke. ITS NOT FAST SO DONT TRY TO MAKE IT LOOK FAST.

Dont show me any more of this, it raises my blood pressure.

1) You're an idiot.

2) Stock 1.5 liter is fine for a car that's as light as a civic. Not to mention it's fuel efficient.

3) People can afford the modifications by not paying for 17mpg gas on a 5.0L engine everytime they pull up to the pump (but it rawrs so good LOLOLOLOL)

4) The new Civic is hotness.

I'd use dictionary.com as a spelling reference but not as a technical reference.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downforce

You generally want to try and reduce lift, so you don't end up like Mark Webber at Le Mans a couple of years ago, but the primary function of spoilers is to increase downforce for cornering speed.

I believe you missed my point completely. Read my post again.

Not once did I rag on the Civic, or the size of its engine. If I could even afford a new car at the moment the civic would be my FIRST choice because I KNOW they are great cars and I can barely afford gas at the moment but I wouldnt pretend it was something that it wasnt. I love Civics, but the love turns to hate real quick when they get mutilated to the level of the car in that auction.

If you want to go fast, then accept the cost and buy something that truly goes fast. Dont buy an economy car and try to make it look fast.

Doesnt hold up.

How much would you say that guy put into that car? Does he say? For example, lets say 10 grand on top of what he paid for it. That will fill a car with a 5 liter engine once a week for 4 years at current prices. There is NO WAY that the money saved on gas will even come close to paying for those "upgrades".

I'd be willing to bet you could take all the money put into that car, and buy a faster, better performing car plus 5 years worth of gas for that car, and still have $$$ left over.

I love Civics and their 1.7L or whatever they have now engines.

I hate and laugh at what some people do to them.

Civics (unmodded) are great cars. Reliable, good gas milage and decent pick-up for a little car. However, the one here looks like it should be in space.
