I ran Ad-Aware and what not. Running 1.0.6. Any way to prevent this?

Are you sure that you have the box checked in Tools > Options > Web Features?

Certain sites have discovered that mechanism that allows them to open popups regardless of current popup blockers (they code it differently)

I have this problem too in Firefox on some sites.

In opera, however, even those sneaksy problematic popups don't seem to actually occur. Shrug.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Looks like whatever she (or maybe he) was eating missed her mouth.

Anyway, I've been getting the pop-up problem with firefox, too. Ran spybot, ad-aware, and Symantec Anti-Virus. There's just no stopping them.

Use Adblock to block the scripts that launch the windows. Problem solved.

Well, I figure it can solve MOST of them. If not you could always block the HTML site OF the ad so you just get a blank window in a worst-case scenario.

I enjoy popups. Especially the ones with little games on them. If only I could figure out how to turn off this damn popup blocker.
