Forum poster or just a forum reader? Personally, I read a WHOLE lot more threads than I post on, but if I posted as much as I read I'd have one huge post count...
I had a blog. It sucked.

Same here. I visit the forums and read threads 3 - 4 time (actually, it's probably more) a day. But I rarely post. . .

This thread is strange. Why would a lurker give feedback to it?

I read a lot more than I post.

They'd vote and not post?

But yeah, I'd thought of that and realized: This thread is relatively ironic..oh well. :P
I had a blog. It sucked.

I -almost- post quite a few times. Then end up thinking halfway 'ahh screw it' and deleting it.

Both.

Although I've almost never got anything worthwhile to say.
nope.

I used to post a lot more, but now I mostly read. This place has become full of dumb jokes and pointless debates.

Reader. I'm too lazy to give my opinion on most matters
2005-09-16, 4:00 PM #16
Wow...the poll balanced out. Proved me wrong.
2005-09-16, 4:40 PM #17
Mostly reading, because there are some threads I wouldn't touch with a +3 bargepole.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Reader mostly. I would also have probably even 100 more posts if I hadn't ever stopped myself just before pressing the submit button. Seriously, I have done that so many times, after writing sometimes even long replies

Besides, I frequent many forums I haven't registered at, one of them for many, many years.

I've been posting more. But still mostly a reader.

Guess it depends on what you define as a poster. I read an aweful lot more then I post, but I still post enough that I don't think I'd be just considered a reader.

Yeah, but I usually get to the Reply to Thread screen and then forget what I was gonna say. Except for this time. Yay!

I think I read about 10-30 % of the topics (varying from reading fully to quickly scanning). And I usually post on only a handful. So, Reader.

I would say I post in about 60% of the threads I read, (which are all of them in the Discussion Forum). Therefore, while I'm more of a reader than a poster, I post a helluva lot, so I voted reader/poster.

I read more than I post. But just like some of the guys have already said, I go to reply to a thread and decide to can it for some reason or I just can't remember what I was going to say..

Yeah, this is stuff that applies to me, too. It's good to know I'm not the only one... or maybe that's a bad thing that there's more of us...

Alls I know is, that I've been here 4-5 years, and some people who have been here a few months have waaaay more posts than I do. That should tell you all you need to know.

I post about 1/4 of all the threads I read. Usually because I'll just start a flamewar or something :(

Still, my post count is starting to get pitifully high :(
2005-09-18, 9:16 AM #36
I post without reading.

There's no option in this poll for me! DISCRIMINATION!
2005-09-18, 9:34 AM #37
I post on threads without reading them. Update the poll!
2005-09-18, 9:35 AM #38
Often I post without reading the responses, like I did in this thread. If the thread is interesting, I'll often skim through it, at least.
