I have a friend whose parents are going to Canada on Tuesday, and they're heading to Montreal. But they have no clue what to do there. They say that there is nothing to do after 5PM, is this true?

Anyways, if any of you have any ideas of interesting things to do or see near Montreal (they'll be in the downtown area if it matters), let me know, they'd be glad to know.

Ehhh? When I was in Montreal, I wasn't coherent until 5 pm. And then for only a short period of time. When we were in Montreal, none of us really got around to actually doing anything. We pretty much just got really trashed, and Montreal is damn good for that.


The nightlife is fantastic if you're into that kinda thing.

Oh, well I should mention that this is my friend's parents, not my friend, really. So think something for 40 year olds :p

They should tour the old port on a carriage ride. Old Montreal really is beautiful.

There's tons of things for older people to do in Montreal. The Biodome is an amazing place for people to visit, if they like animals. Sidewalk shopping on St-Hubert Street, walking around Old Montreal (or the horse carriage ride like I suggested is very popular with the tourists), and of course the nightlife and music scene here are one of a kind.

They could go see a show at the Opera, if that's their kind of thing. Gary Kurtz (a very good illusionist) is at the Theatre St-Denis right now, I've seen his show and it's mind-blowing.

Where in Montreal will they be staying? Montreal is one ****ing big island.

I went to Montreal, and there is that gigantic science center and tons of museums. Obviously, the bars there are amazing what with the lower legal drinking age us Canadians have. That and the fact it's quebec make it perfect. If you come at a certain time of the year (I can't remember for the life of me) There's the huge just for laughs comedy festival, which is always fun.

Tell them that, if they want the people of Montreal to side with them, they must lay siege to the city.

At least, that's how it worked back in the 18th century.

montreal comes alive at 5pm. before then it's just business.

the theatre in montreal is world class. the dining in montreal is world class. the tourist stuff at night around old montreal and out on the isle is very nice. if they know or like any F1 racing stuff they can visit circuit villeneuve.

montreal is a city where something is always happening at night.

oh... and you can tell them to visit super sex anytime.
