CryEngine; that's the FarCry one is it not?

EDIT: Yeah, the video finally loaded and you can definitely tell it's Far Cry... I wonder what kind of hardware specs you need to run something like this?

The thing I love about Far Cry, is it's amazingly huge distance cull. Bigger than JKs (Unless my theories of JK not having one are true) I wouldn't mind waiting a game day for someone to pop out of a house, and snipe him from across the island. Woo!

Then again, DooM 3 engine had a dynamic day and night, but it was never used in the game. Cuse like, it's mars.

Glad to see there's actually ANOTHER net-gen engine out there now (We've now got Unreal3.0, Cry-Tek2.0, FEAR [don't have the engine's name right now] and a revamped version of Doomtech). Makes me wonder what else is on the horrizon (and isn't the 7800 a DX10 card?)

FEAR is really somewhere between being the last current-gen game and the first next-gen game, because its features are so advanced (though its not based around DX10, and so can run on lower-end machines). Not sure of the release date though (i think its sometime in November).

Care to elaborate? It is rediculous to say this looks worse then Cry's earlier engine version used for FarCry...

Someone upload it elsewhere. I freaking hate putfile. I've tried the link in Firefox AND IE, it crashes both. And I have WMP 10.

That was meant as a comment to what FastGamerr said. I haven't even seen the video.
What I meant was that it is the logical step for a new graphics engine to look better than older engines. I'm simply not amazed anymore when I see a new engine.
The last time my breath was taken away was when I played the first Unreal.

I agree. The only engine that's impressed me at all so far is the Project Offset engine, which looks pretty cool.

Seeing as it's camera footage of something on screen, it's not going to look as pretty as it really is, and it looked damn impressive. The moving shadows and tree leaves were sweet.
