People that look like other people

Ok my whole experience coming to a new state is totaly surreal.
It's almost as if I havn't left home. 90% of the people here, look like someone I knew back home.
I have yet to spent time outside of Maine other than vacation, but once I've settled down in a new state it is absolutely creepy the PERFECT resembleance the people here have to everyone I knew.

To the people that move around alot..Does this happen all the time or am just in a constant feeling of Deju Vu?

I thought this was going to be a "post the celebrity you look like" thread or something.

But I can definitely understand what you mean, I think it's because you don't know anyone and you're thinking of your friends from back home and mentally comparing them to everyone around you.

The human mind always tries to relate certain people you don't have "defining detail" with, such as someone far away, to someone you do know. This is ranged to be even found in objects in the night...such as smudges on the mirror will look like faces or items. It's called Matrixing; when it can't find out what it is, so it tries to form into a familiar shape.

That's only definable if you're far away from the person though...

I don't think that's quite what it is.

But yeah, I know exactly what you mean. When I first moved to Missouri from CA, I couldn't help but make comparisons of people left and right. Same thing when I left high school and came to college. Now one person will remind me of someone from my past, but I'll never be able to put my finger quite on who it was. It's kind of annoying. So many lost faces between elementary school, high school, work, college, summer camps, etc.

I've noticed that strange phenomenon myself. With movie stunt-doubles.

Actually, when talking to everyone else here, they same the same thing.

But this isn't "close" resembleance. This is pretty much perfect resembleance.

Same skin tone, same build, same hair.
I mean they act and talk totaly different, but their physical appereance is dead on. I even compared pictures I had to the new people, and it's scary.

so it's not just some pyschological thing..

I relate certain people to celebrities sometimes. Not just by saying "Hey, did you know you look like [insert-actor/ess here]?", but actually thinking that they're them.

Do pyscopaths count as celebrities? My freinds say I look like Jeffery Dahmer.
