I wake up in a sweat (wearing the same clothes I'd gone to school in the previous day), look at the clock, and see that it's 7:30 (which is the time I have to leave for school!). I don't have any time to get ready! What's more, today I'm gonna have a fun date with my gf but I don't have the money yet, so I'm worried I'll have to call it off. So I run to my dad downstairs, all the while whispering "****! GOD ****IN DAMMIT!" below my breath. So I'm like, "dad, I need to borrow 45 bucks for my date today. I'll pay ya back, I promise. I just need it right now cause I'm going out the door to school in a few seconds." He looks confused as hell, then he realizes what's up with me. "Uhm, Joel, you got it all wrong, buddy boy. It's 7:30 in the evening, not morning. You didn't sleep the entire night, you're just off by about 12 hours." At this, I am thoroughly embarrassed. This little switch in my brain goes, "ooohhhh, snap!!!". I started laughing hysterically at myself. I never took the time to realize the sun was in the WEST not the ****in EAST, but I blame it on ****in fall equinox because there's 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. The sun was shining from the west on some clouds that were in the east, so it looked like the sun was rising in the east. So yeah, I'm all fine now, chuckling and slapping myself on the face every once in a while in embarrassment.
