I looked at my calendar on Friday and had 2 exams scheduled back-to-back. I've spent all weekend studying like mad (and partying like mad in order to mantain balance) because I've been missing a lot of lectures. I decided to restructure my schedule in order to concentrate more on academics and focus less on my social life. I started going to the library.

Last night, I hit the sack at 1 am after an intense cram session, but I was wide awake from anxiety. I didn't go to sleep until 4:30 am, and my first exam was at 8 am. I set three alarms, all of which I slept through. My roomate finally shook me awake 10 minutes before the exam began. I took a Mexican shower and tossed on some clothes, running barefoot to the management building (my shoes have a truly sinister smell). I think I did alright enough on that exam, but I braced for the Economics exam that followed. I had concentrated mainly on management, since it's my major and I can actually understand what the professor's saying half the time despite the best efforts of his accent.

I hurried back to my dorm and checked online for the location of the exam, which the syllabus had claimed would be posted online, but of which I had seen no evidence. Much to my mixed dismay and complete exhiliration, THE EXAM ISN'T UNTIL NEXT WEEK! The guillotine blade stopped inches short of my neck, the bonds were released, we threw down our swords, and went off to frolic in the sunny fields.

ok, so I still have another exam this week and some papers, but holy hallelujah was that a relief. Post your humongous fears that turned out to be windmills and straw men in the end! :D

Mm, yeah, I've done that before once or twice. No time to post the whole story right now as I'm getting ready for work, but suffice to say I woke up late in a panic, and rushed half-awake unfed and unshowered to campus to take a much-dreaded exam.. on a Sunday.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

I've gotten close to sleeping through an exam or two, but I never have. However, I've slept through class on quiz and homework turn-in days. Just last week in fact.

I hope I didn't have any quizzes... I definitely just woke up and missed all of my classes today.

I was so burned out a few semesters ago that I totally forgot about a final exam, and I missed it. However, the professor was really cool and he let me make it up the next semester w/o penalty.

Exams are the bane of my existence.

Thankfully I don't have any until late October.

It gets better. He even let me do it on my own terms, and I got to decide the time and day to do it.

From the chatlog: (I edited out the other guy)

(12:31:15) Grismath: today is not shaping up to be a good day

(12:31:23) Grismath: I woke up at 9:30 without having started my philosophy paper for my 11 am class.

(12:31:45) Grismath: I finished it by 11:36ish, threw it in my bag, and sprinted off to CAS.

(12:32:22) Grismath: With my ninja gaiden skills, I peeked around the lecture hall door, and slid in behind some chairs when the prof's back was turned.

(12:32:59) Grismath: This kid next to me congratulated me and wanted to leaf through my beautiful, beautiful philosophy paper. I watched on proudly as he thumbed through it, nodding in awe.... until he stopped short.

(12:33:07) Grismath: "uh, did you do problem 4?"

(12:33:25) Grismath: PROBLEM 4: the most important, and highset graded problem on the paper!

(12:33:47) Grismath: I choked for a moment. Of course I had done problem 4. No way could I have missed it, it was the one that I had the most difficulty with.

(12:33:55) Grismath: IT WAS STILL SITTING IN MY PRINTER TRAY

(12:34:16) Grismath: With 10 minutes left on the clock before class let out, I dove back out the door and tore down Comm. Ave.

(12:34:53) Grismath: I rushed upstairs, grabbed the fugitive page, snatched a stapler, and tore off my jacket because I was sweating so much.

(12:35:17) Grismath: I ran back over, did a baseball skid into the classroom again, JUST as the professor finished her last slide.

(12:35:26) Grismath: muah muahaha mauahahahahhaa
