Distributed Synchronized Audio

Does anyone know of any programs that sync audio over a network? I have a bunch of computers with a bunch of speakers and I want them all to play the same song.

I cannot find *ANYTHING* that works and works properly.

Shoutcast doesn't do it, and netsync for winamp doesn't either.

I dunno how well you'd be able to pull it off. Especially since different PCs tend to have different timing systems, which can actually cause one to lag behind the other, even after you've matched them together. (My laptop always lags behind my PC when I play an MP3 at the same time, even if it is lined up at the beginning)

CM - that's why professional hardware uses wordclock, but surely there would be a software equivalent for something like that?

For Linux I can think of a dozen different apps that can do it...But for Windows, only the obvious "shoutcast"-style streaming systems.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.
FM broadcast?
even that is flawed, and when i tried it i couldnt figure out a way to play it off the computers (well, ok, i didnt have any recever cards or what ever you would need for that) but anyway, i only got to play it on the radio's i own.
Laughing at my spelling herts my feelings. Well laughing is fine actully, but posting about it is not.
