Hamilton was a complete badass. But not as awesome as James Madison.

I was wondering, if counterfeiters are determined to counterfeit money, why not make the older version of $100, $50 and $20 bills?

Because people are now more cautious when recieving them and will be much more likely to use the markers to check, and check for other things.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Hamilton deserves to be on every single denomination, coin and paper.

It's Alexander Hamilton, founder of the Federalist party and wrote c. 52 essays to help support New York in ratifying the Constitution.

Grant > all your guys. He was born on my birthday too. Just 100 years or so ago.

Yeah, but Polk was the man with the expansionist plan!

Jackson wins. He was the most manly president we've ever had.

Killing stuff. Shooting stuff. Having open parties in the whitehouse during his inauguration.

As cool as Jackson was, Roosevelt was the toughest.

I mean, he was shot in the middle of giving a speech and he kept going.
2005-09-28, 3:28 PM #22
Considering Roosevelt regularly went on 10 mile rowing trips to "help" his asthma, I agree.

Roosevelt Wins.

Then it's official. Roosevelt should be on money.

Of course, I can't forget the classic "You Lose" speech of Calvin Coolidge. That guy ruled.

Classic commercial.

And agreed, Canadian money kicks American money's ***. I hate it when I'm in the states and all the money is the same color, makes it a lot harder to find the bill you want. Not to mention the $1 bills, I always think I have way more money than I actually do ;)

australian notes > american notes

reasons.

1. polymer notes means that spur of the moment forgeries dont happen nearly as often as no subtance with the same feel to it will be able to take ink from a printer.

2.clear window with a watermark on it that is done seperately makes a feature that can give away a number of the more professional forging operations

3.the notes last longer and wont disintergrate in the wash if accidently left in.

4. each note has its own size and colour which makes it easier to find a note of a specific value in your wallet instead of having to thumb through all your notes in your wallet.

also, we dont have one or two dollar notes, we use cons which if it werent for the fact that the new zeland 2 dollar coin is the size of our one dollar coin and their one dollar coin is the size of our two dollar coin (this is aparent, especialy if you use them in vending machines.), we have much more space in our wallets for larger value notes, and it means that vending machines are mmuch easier to use as notes are much harder to use in food vending machines (although, because of said size differance, it is impossible to have your note mistaken for one of another type).

Also the intent is that they will be phased out of the system over time so eventually even recieving an old bill will set off huge red flags since there will be nearly none in circulation.

Ah, finally, dollars get some colour. I can never tell them apart without having to take them out, and read them. I tend to colour in the corners with crayons if I have lots of different ones.

Still, I do quite like the British £10 note, with Charles Darwin on the back. Excellent note.
