Where did you dig up that "W"?

This whole question is pretty meaningless to me (and FG), though , because with the Finnish way of pronounciation, the correctly pronounced form is as clear as is the written form.

There is no W, there is no U, there is no "saw" sound. Period.

"Muh-sah-see" or "Mass-assy" are correct depending on where you place the accent. The "muh" can also be "mah" it's like an A that you sort of pronounce like a U.

Um, "saw" is pronounced like "see-saw" or "band saw" or "electric saw blade". "Sah" is totally different.
It is Muh-Sah-See.
YES!! How can it be any other way?

now i just realised something.

You yanks who say Muh saw si... COULD actually be saying it right. Cos in american accents it can sound more like mah saa see.

But when a brit or european read Muh SAW si... we would read your spelling and imagine you say... Muh sore si. which is the same in a british accent,

So I will fore go the killing of these potential heathens.

I always said "pee-owned" it sounds so much better than the 3 you mentioned. Pawned just sounds weird. Either you've been kicked in the *** by pr0n or you've just sold something for money. Or you've been an inferior chess piece in some one else's devious plans. It just doesn't work.
