Agh, hard to choose.
You Only Live Twice and From Russia With Love are great though.

The first one has a great opening tune, ninjas (!), explosive shuriken, and the compulsory giant bad-guy complexes (the mock-crater) featuring climactic assault scenes. The other one has James Bond figuring out a villain because he selects red wine (!) instead of white with a dish of fish, followed by a brutal fist-fight in a train compartment.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

1. The Living Daylights
2. A View to a Kill
3. Octopussy
4. Goldeneye
5. Goldfinger / License to Kill

Timothy Dalton might not have been the best Bond, but his movies were still great.

Eeeeew Moonraker.

Goldeneye
From Russia with Love

I think Timothy Dalton got wronged. I think he did all right with crappy script.

Yep.

As for my favorite Bond, hard to say. Most are very good, and almost all of them are enjoyable for me.

I LOVE the Living Daylights. What JDKNITE188 said about Timothy Dalton is very true. I'm also quite the Roger Moore fan (despite the flak he gets) in addition to Sean and Pierce. Heck, the only Bond I disliked was Lazenby, and he didn't last more than one movie. ;)

As for the worst Bond movie, I will say that the Man with the Golden Gun had an awesome theme song but was possibly one of the most dreadful movies of the 70's. And Die Another Day was soso compared with The World is Not Enough.

From russia with love as Robert Shaw is in it. And Robert Shaw owns.

Die Another Day was somewhat dissapointing...

Goldfinger, Goldeneye, The World is Not Enough....all around best-hands down-(they even had awesome theme songs)

How can you possibly place The World Is Not Enough as one of the best? Makes me think you've never seen any of the good Bond movies.

The World Is Not Enough was all right. Tomorrow Never Dies sucked.

I forgot to add The Spy who Loved Me in my list. What's the one where Bond works with Ninjas?

Goldeneye & Goldfinger. Much of Goldfinger was filmed just a few miles from my house (Fort Knox). My father was actually stationed there at the time.

That is You Only Live Twice, also one of my faves (like most of the people on this thread, apparently).

I believe that everything after Goldeneye sucked. Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, Die Another Day . . . oh they were painful to watch.

I am curious to see what the next Bond movie is like. The probability of it sucking is high. If the next Bond is Clive Owen, that might not be too bad. IMO he looks like the combination of Dalton and Brosnan.

This thread needs a poll!

Goldfinger is the best Bond ever. It's got Connery as Bond, great villans with Goldfinger and Oddjob, good story, and the best quotes ever.

My name is Pussy Galore.

Do you expect me to talk?
No, Mr Bond, I expect you to die!

The new movie is Casino Royale and last I heard the leading contender for Bond was Brosnan, one last time.

Casino Royale..doesn't that take place before Dr. No....so how can Brosnan..GAH! *explode*
Think while it's still legal.

Oh by Casino Royale i was referring to an old comedy movie that was a spin off of the Bond movie which involves Bond as the main character in the future. Way before austin powers :)

You Only Live Twice was great for the whole faked death and the helicoptor. I also really loved Goldeneye.
