News

Developing countries should only be charged $100 for the laptops so they may be given away to children. Regular consumers should be charged somewhere around $200 with $20 to $30 going towards the loss they accru from selling them at $100.

Awesome.

The hand-crank feature is interesting as well, b/c i've often been away from a power outlet and have had to scramble to finish something before my battery runs down.

Old news...remember seeing that on [h]ard like last week. I think the specs are really low (like 500mhz, or a ghz) and it runs a brand of linux.

$200? Pssh, I got my laptop for free.... a 300 Mhz PII w/ 64 megs of RAM... haha. Actually I got two of them; the other one has no drives, no battery, no RAM, and a cracked screen.
