Ok so i just found this ATI Mach64 vediocard [free!] and don't know the specs for it I TRYED GOOGLE AND THE ATI SITE! So... anyone?

For playing DOS games it should work just fine. A Voodoo 2 or Voodoo Banshee would be your best bet however.

3d Rage Pro is a ATI video card that used the Mach64 chipset. It came with either 2mb of RAM or 4MB of RAM. the easiest way to tell is whether or not it has a TV out (if it does, 4MB. if not, 2MB). TBH, I don't even know if the thing really had a 3d accellerator or not. I don't think so.

I had that exact card. I would never, EVER wish that piece of living crap onto ANYBODY.

I'd take a monochrome POS videocard over that.

Hell, I'd take a bag of crap over that.

There aren't enough words for me to describe just how bad it sucks, even for when it was brand new. It has 3D acceleration, but it doesn't work. It just plain damn doesn't work.

Oh, and it crashes like it is its job. And its slow. And its incompatible with damn near every game ever made. And it tends to screw up other portions of the PC. And it has sucky settings.

Like I said, there just aren't enough words.

Mine is currently char-broiled, and has a crapped screwdriver stabbed right through the middle of it. I'm contemplating other means of destroying it, but I am not sure which would make it suffer more.

So the fact that my compaq has that 3d rage pro makes it suck yes?
Enough to replace it with said mach64?
