I need good ideas for hippie clothing for a costume! I've already got the basics: tie die, bell bottoms, long hair wig, berkenstauk sandals, and necklaces/braclets. What other minor accessories would go good with this costume?

Well, I can think of one, but possession will land you several months in county lockup.

Wannabe indian vest and headband.
Beat-up guitar case with a few coins in it.

I'm anything but a hippie expert, so I shouldn't post here at all, but perhaps some decorative pins might work as well (not those made for presidential campaigns, but something else...)?

Isn't it bizarre how things come in and out of style?

All the trendy chicks in my school wore coats very similar to that last year. It was weird.

Homemade soap that smells like crap, and wear socks under your sandals. My computer teacher was a hippie/homosexual and hit on my friend one time, scared the hell out of me. He hated guns, and his breath smelled like ****. There's good ole Oregon for ya, man I'm glad I got out of that hell hole :rolleyes:
