Jedi Knight First Person Screen Glitch

OK quick question. I just loaded JK on my new computer. However when i play in first person mode, i get these gray dots and blotches on the screen. I switched monitors and revolutions, but to no avail. I am using an ATI Radeon 9600 XT. Any ideas what's causing this? Screenshot is below.

It's apparently a problem with newer ATI cards. I'm not sure if it's a problem for anything other than the 9x00 series, but I know that like, everyone with a 9x00 card has this problem. Myself included. Not much you can do about it as far as I know. There could be obsolete driver options which are enabled or disabled by default on these newer cards that are messing with JK. I have no ideas which ones.

I have the same problem (also the sabers cause a kinda HOM effect) and I haven't found a way to fix it.

Yeah, I get it too, including the 3DO hom. It's possibly the most annoying thing ever. I'm happy to report that Sith2 does not suffer from these faults :-D

It's the crosshair, and it happens on all new cards. Turn off the crosshair.

Yeah it's the crosshair. Happens to me too. I have a newer ATI card.

Let it die.

Actually, that sounds like fun, maybe I'll install it again and run through the SP.

There was a crosshair mod somewhere, that you could use instead of the defualt crosshair.

Bet that'd work.

I don't get the hom thing on 3dos anymore since updating drivers to the new catalyst. I'm not positive about the crosshair thing, but that may be fixed too.

Emon, I have a 9200 and the only problems I have are occasional 3do pixelation (it's weird, not hom) when there are too many polygons on screen at once.
Maybe the problem is only on cards above the 9200. Just wanted to update your info.

Actually, I just transfered all the JK files from my Dell laptop to my newer desktop on a burned CD. I didn't do the install process from the 2 original JK cds (too lazy). That wouldn't help out, right?

So if we're basing it on personal experiences... you're losing 2-1... or perhaps 3-1... because I've got a FX5200 and I get no errorsz.

Wtf?

You aren't making any sense at all. Looks fine on my GF3, my GF4 Go, my GF 6800GT.

Both of you shut up or grow up...

I haven't played Jedi Knight for a while, but I haven't noticed anything wrong with the cross hairs... I would say maybe there was an update but then I thought better about that.
