I've been fighting to get my SB Live card to work right in this system, and every time I try to load the drivers the system freezes. I've been told this is a common problem with VIA chipsets.

What I need is the original driver CD that came with the card. I know this is a popular card and I was wondering if someone here that has the CD wouldn't mind ISOing or zipping it up for me. I REALLY need to get this working and it would be VERY appreciated.

Thanks.

I have this card.. the problem is there are loads of versions of it.

I have the "SB Live! 5.1 digital bulk edition". If you look on the card itself it has a model mumber. Mine is SB0220, if that's the same as yours i'll send you the cd.

It's upgradable, so it isn't Mac. And it's freezing. That just has Windows written all over it.

Mines CT4670, Same as yours but non-5.1 so I don't know if that would work or not.

Yes I've installed the VIA drivers, and I'm in windows, if I were in linux I wouldn't be looking for drivers to use the nicer features of the card because in linux you can't use them.

I have the original disk for the SB LIVE VALUE and here is the disk number:

From DISK.ID on the cd:
SBLV-CDS1D-1-US

Number printed on the CD:
1713330760

However, there were a lot of issues with AMD chips and the original SBLIVE drivers, so it's probably not a good idea to use them [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

If this is what you need, I can probably ISO them if I can figure out how...

Thanks Brian that would be awesome, if you can't ISO it then a zip of the cd would be fine.

From what I understand there were 2 cds that came with it, one with Win9x drivers and one with win2k drivers. I'm in XP so the win2k is what I need.

Thank you! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

NoESC, I bought this sound card before win2k even existed. In fact, it was before ME existed, so the driver disk says: win95/98/nt 4.0. Still interested?
