Just because one society made the noodles long ago doesn't mean italians couldn't have paralelled the chinease. The same thing can happen in multiple places at once.

I did astrophysics for 2 years, its really not that hard.

While that's certainly possible, it's mostly accepted that Marco Polo brought pasta back to Italy. At least thats what most people seem to think.

Yes, look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_cream

Scroll down to the "china" section. It mentions how Marco Polo brought Ice Cream back to Italy from China.
