What the hell is up with Fox
2005-10-16, 11:29 AM #1
Seriously, they haven't had a new episode of Family Guy since Oct 2nd. And ifyou go onto the familyguy.com website and look at the schedule, the next episode airing sunday night is October 30th, and it's a ****ING RERUN!

What the hell is with fox? Seriously. I know the World series is going on, but tonight there's a marathon, why not fit a new episode in there?

God damnit I hate fox.

Fox blows but it is lucky to have some big hits.
2005-10-16, 11:32 AM #3
meh. chill.
2005-10-16, 11:33 AM #4
That's the only thing keeping them alive. They make very very poor decisions when it comes to their shows.
2005-10-16, 11:36 AM #5
Eh. I've seen this before. Usually the MLB playoffs/World Series cause all new episodes of <show here> to wait until November.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

The same issue happens with Fox's flagship show, The Simpsons. Their Halloween special is knocked back until the week after Halloween. And they make fun of that in their episode too. Remeber it's not just Family Guy that Fox is doing it to, they've been doing it to The Simpsons for years.

I've always hated Fox for how they totally and completly ****ed the Firefly series to hell. And got Famly Guy cancelled. :(

It's because of baseball playoffs, which get far better ratings than the regular Sunday lineup.

Shows do go through hiatus. In my case though it really bites as Family Guy, American Dad, Justice League, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis are all going through hiatus. :(

I don't watch any TV. I win.

2005-10-16, 3:11 PM #16
This happens on other networks too. They start episodes in September, judge early reactions to them. That's how they decide whether to drop a show even after one or two episodes.

Then, in October, they show re-runs while all the networks gear-up for sweeps in November.

Its funny how I like FOX News channel yet I don't like FOX itself. FOX has way too many trash shows for its primetime line up compared to other local channels.

All I know is Fox ordered about 23 new episodes
2005-10-16, 5:56 PM #21
I thought they ordered 35 episodes of FG back when it started up again. At least that's what they said in the FG movie DVD commentary
2005-10-16, 6:16 PM #22
Meh I just say screw the TV and buy them when they come out on DVD.

I need lots of alcohol to be able to sit through a whole game. Otherwise it's just too long. Football is the perfect length.

I think that baseball should be shortened to 6 innings.

House is great (so far) , and Prison Break is good, but I agree, the rest of it is s***.

I still haven't forgiven Fox for cancelling Firefly and for when they stopped showing X-files reruns.

Fox sucks. Who cares?

I don't even WATCH TV that much. I'm usually outside...

...or wasting my life away on Enemy Territory.
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

And the Simpsons, of course.

Don't blame Fox, this crap happens all over the world.
All our good tv shows get knocked back when theres an important game of cricket (groan) or similar on.
That is why sports suck.

Fox cancelled Firefly and Brimstone. They deserve to die a slow and painful death.
2005-10-17, 7:34 PM #35
Fox has cancelled many great shows to make room for crap (I still miss you Greg the Bunny, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and The Tick). I'm suprised people keep going to them with good ideas.
