Rosebud was more than a sled from Citizen Kane.

Rosebud was, well, an inside joke from a number of years ago. It was funny for a while, then extremely irritating.

Actually, it is also an inside joke in Citizen Kane. The movie is strongly based off of William Hearst's life, and "rosebud" was what Hearst called his wife's private parts.
