Mmm, just ordered my Dell 2005FPW. Can't wait till this baby gets in. Can finally stop using this CRT (not a bad CRT, but I've gotten sick of how CRTs look after using so many LCDs).

Mmm, 20.1" widescreen goodness.

Am I insecure if I cry everytime someone posts about a bit of their computer that's better than mine?

Should've saved for the 2405. My friend's kind of disappointed with how small his 2005 is. Also, be wary that there may be a backlight bleeding issue--if you got it from newegg, though, this won't be a problem to replace. It's a nice LCD monitor, just have fun finding widescreen games :D

I've been generally displeased with every Dell display I've ever seen. But that's me, and I'm kinda obcessively picky when it comes to choosing a display I like.

I'm not about to spend $800 on an LCD. $400 is more than enough, heh.

I've used the monitors before, and know quite a few people who own them, so I know all about them. I don't blindly purchase things on whims.

And I don't really play video games that much, and in the rare cases I do, big deal if something has to be ran in 4:3.

I have a 2405FPW and I love it to itty bitty bits! <3

And it's not that hard to find widescreen games. As long as games assume square pixels (as most do) and properly enumerate display resolutions there isn't a problem. The only 2 relatively recent games I've seen that don't support widescreen are Doom 3 and Freelancer. Usually the problem isn't a lack of widescreen support for me, it's a lack of 1920x1200 support.

I got it a few months ago for 400$. You won't be dissapointed. It's an awesome moniter. From here on out it's widescreen. It'll still run games in 3:4 with side bars too.

Yeah, I got one as a graduation present, and I really like it. Haven't had any problems with it yet, but then again I've only had it for about five months, so time will tell.

I love LCD monitors.

I can't use CRT's anymore. They make me upset to my stomach when I do.

Mmm, came in today. Looks amazing, and I'm just using it via VGA on my laptop at the moment since I'm at home on break. Can't wait to use it in DVI. Definitely no backlight problems here.
