Halloween in Azeroth is an exciting time. My paladin became one with the undead he has fought for so long.

Hah, this is quite amusing. I'm curious though, how did you get a pumpkin face full of candy in-game? Did Blizzard put that there?

Yeah, Blizz put a whole slew of content in for Halloween. Ironforge and most cities are all lit up with candles and carved pumpkins and what-not... theres a few quests in Southshore, and you can bob for apples in certain places. It's pretty cool. :)

Wait...can you get mask? Who gives them?
2005-10-19, 3:09 PM #7
The masks come in treat bags that you can get when you select the 'Trick or Treat' option with any innmaster. The things the innmaster will do to you are randomized though, so far I've gotten turned into a miniature diablo, gotten a couple costumes, and gotten candy. You can only talk to him once an hour.

Can you keep them when this is over?

For some reason, the masks only last for 7 days.

They also sometimes give you wands that allow you to turn people in your party into random creatures or customes. I so far had received the wands that turns people either ghosts (which are always humans), wisps, and a random one (haven't used random yet).

You get to keep the halloween candy, which regenerate 3% of your hp and mana every second, and it stacks with battlegrounds food :D

I've only gotten candy on my Tauren Druid, and two masks on my human mage. However, his hair sticks out of the mask :(

Man, WoW is starting to sound more and more tempting...
2005-10-20, 6:14 AM #23
Yep, leper gnomes, green stinking beings.

WoW is an astonishing games, if you can stand the graphic style. Deep content.

I'm an EQ2 person myself, because the graphic style applies to me nicely, though I will admit there is a bit less content, and the lack of cities, asside from Freeport, Queynos and the new one from the expansion, its a bit trivial.

Quck question about WoW: is it possible to get a demo, or a trial, or something that would let me see if my comp can run it good enough without having to buy the game?

I believe they offered a trial version of WoW only through certain magazine subscriptions like PC Gamer. The limitations in the trial is a bit heavy though because you can't trade, can't send mail, can't use the auction house, can't level past level 20, can't gain more than 10 gold, and you can't even TALK to anyone (although I think the local say channel works but I could be wrong). They added in these limitations to prevent gold farmer from exploiting trial accounts.

WoW is definitely the only MMO I would ever consider.

If you know a friend who recently bought the game, they can install WoW on your computer and give you a 10 day trial code thingie, and you can play in ten days with some restrictions (General chat, only up to level 20, I think there's a gold one as well..)

Or you could just log in as him and see how it runs, then realise WoW's awesomeness and buy a copy yourself.

Make a character on a server they don't play on.

Actually, every WoW-account holder just got guest pass, so if anyone want it, it's yours.

(PS: I'd like to give it to someone serious about it, because if they start a paying account, I get a free month.)
