weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

bought a computer off a friend for £100, it's running XP, boots up in a couple of seconds and even has a DVD drive, so I'm pretty happy. starting the long process of making it a little more maevie friendly....

(got a friend round atm, showing her some computer basics, will be on IRC in an hour or so I reckon)

[edit] omqomqomq starcraft!!! I shall (hopefully) be on battlenet in a couple of hours, making up for months of lost time!

not too bad, did my usual underachieving-whist-not-totally-failing thing. now I just have to work out what to do with my degree!

Andy - I've been hoping to come and see people at some point, it's amazing how many people I know who are still there. maybe xmas parties or something? let me know if there's something on that non-QM people such as I can come to!

Try Warcraft 3 out maybe? The demo's out there, and I like it a bit. Not to mention I like the whole random matchup thing a lot better :D

unfortunatly, i can't get IRC working from my network here *shakes fist angrily at Hopkin's tech people for blocking port 6667* or i'd have said hello probably a good while ago on there. But, alas. Anyway, welcome back! we've all missed you, if you hadn't noticed :-p

GBK has a CGI IRC client which lets you bypass that. Ask him.

I actually own it, believe it or not (and frozen throne), but only played it for a few days before starcraft called me back. I'll crack it out again sometime (not when I'm working full-time!)

Not completely different, the majority of characters in arabic have different shapes depending on if they are in intitial, medial, ending, or stand-alone positions. So the font is shifting through the positions as you highlight.
