I enjoyed listening to it. But my internet connection comes with a download limit. And even though the radio wasn't using a lot, it was still using too much just for listening to music. Especially when I already have plenty of music of my own.

If I'm online and there's dead air, I fill it.

I've done NAZING!

Just because you are recording a show for it, doesn't mean people will listen :p Each time I check the radio, it has 0 listeners or there isn't a DJ. It's been like that for a week or so.

Everyone stopped listening when it went for days without a DJ.

Maybe if we got rid of the language limitations people would be able to actually play music? :p

Yeah, I DJ quite a bit. It is quite limiting having a language limit though...

Honestly I'm not really interested in hearing just song after song of someone elses choice of music. But I would listen if I actually hear some talking inbetween songs, a bit of interaction from the DJ, maybe tell a funny story or two or comment on the song they just played or are about to play. I think it works better when the listeners can hear the DJ talk, otherwise it could be just their iTunes set on random. Where's the love in that? Especially since you could just set your own music player on random.

Then again, actually talking between songs requires the DJ to give their full attention to the radio show, and if it's only for 4 or 5 listeners, I can understand why they might not bother. I haven't done it, so I really can't judge them, I'm just telling people what makes me enjoy massassi radio.

The time I heard Grismath he told stories and such.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Umm yeah I do this some. But honestly I don't feel very compelled because I've never had more than 3 listeners at a time. And even when I do try and get interaction from the chat channels or via AIM noone interacts back. I give much love to my listeners but I don't get any back.

I also always take offers for requests, and post my playlist but then people go "lol why isn't blah blah on there you suck at music"

I DONT HAVE ACCESS TO ALL YOUR FAVS! BUT I BET I HAVE AT LEAST SOMETHING YOU LIKE IF YOU GET OVER YOURSELF!

I also try and listen as much as possible to other DJs and give them feedback/interaction.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. I'd imagine it would be a little non-rewarding if you sit there for 3 hours making an effort to make a good show for 3 listeners or so, and there's no interactivity.

I've only not been doing it because of a bunch of schoolwork. Starting up again soon.

But yeah, if I notice dead air, I'll connect up.

there's one reason to listen... the chance to hear something you never heard before

I've just been looking through my iTunes an I think I could do quite a good showcase of australian artists - probably something a lot of massassians in the US have never heard. Who do I speak to to find out how to be a dj and broadcast some tunes over massassi radio ?(I suppose I also need to get my hands on a microphone).

Because the admins have become soft. Personally, I thought I should have been banned about three weeks ago when I told Raoul to 'go **** himself.'

Noop, Grismath, and possibly Dud talked during their shows.

I'd DJ now for a bit if I had more normal music and less instrumental wholly game-soundtracks. And if I had the stuff set up. Feh.

I think I might remove the language barrier, seeing as how this thing hasn't nearly taken off as it should have anyway. But in doing so, I'll probably need to change the name to Sorrowind Radio. I dunno if Brian would want it associated.

But for now, we'll just say its okay, and I'll get in contact with Brian and see what he has to say about all this.

Just in case you whiners missed it:

Language Filter restriction is GONE! Play whatever the hell you want, in good taste

I am aware that people talked between songs - and those were the dj's I liked to listen to - but there were times when it was just song after song, and I had no interest in that. Actually I think Victor is the dj I remember most for his banter.

Oh, and good to see the language barrier has been lifted.
