The online community for Halo PC sucks... here is a few examples of what to expect.

1) The Spawn Camper - These are the people who love to fly in constant circles around your base with the shee or stand right on top of the spawn with a Warthog... just to rack up their kills.

2) The Noob - These are the people that typically flip the Warthog with you in it.

3) The Betrayer - These are the people that think they are cool or even think its funny to shoot your own team mate in the back. The best is when they take a vehicle that your trying to get into and run you over.

4) The 56ker with a ping of 750 that complains that you are lagging - Heres a hint... DSL doesn't lag you idiot. There is a reason we are jumping around... your on a 56K LINE!

5) The Banshee Complainer - I love these guys everytime you use a banshee which is perfectly withing the rules to kill them they scream "NO SHEES!" or shout some off coloured racist or insulting remark. These guys are real winners. WHY DON'T YOU JUST SHOOT THE DAMN THING INSTEAD OF *****ING?

Serrious the Halo community ranks up there with Couter Strike for lack of intellegence...

Yeah, I uninstalled Halo PC a while back, i only occasionally play it on xbox. The xbconnect community is MUCH better.

i really hate pistol spammers and am very glad its gone in HALO 2.

It's one thing to use it's firepower but it become quite annoying to never see any weapon in the game except pistols and Rail gas guns.

If there is a exploit that people do not spam in this game i'd like to see that day happen.

Yes... i feel ya... i've been playing Counter-Strike condition zero for a while now and the people are horrible...but there are many ways to avoid the stupid people

The PC port rocks, everyone just bitc**s because there PC is crappy and it lags for them. I never get any lag.

I agree with every thing you said MechWarrior. And I only have the freaking demo. It's not fun it play, it's torture.

The betrayer's aren't even funny. In one game, I went for Chaingun Warthog, now 30 seconds prior to this the opposing team had come over in their Chaingun 'Hog and we killed them, the two 'Hogs were pretty much right next to eacher other only theirs was flipped. Anyway, I went for this warthog, and a guy on my team went and shot my in the back after I jumped in. He couldn't walk the extra 6 steps the the other warthog, flip it, and get in, he had to have the one I got. On top of that, he was a freaking newb who continually ran to get the flag and died before ever getting OUT of the base. It wasn't hard either, he was just an idiot who was afriad to melee someone.

I'm no fan of the Banshee in Halo PC, it's far to easy to spam it. But honestly, like you said, it's fair game if they haven't said anything about it prior to your useage of it. It's the people who get one, stay in it the entire effing game, and cruse the effing GROUND running you over that pisses me off. It shows no skill. At all. The banshees in multiplayer along with the very spamable Fuel Rod Gun and the aboslutely WORTHLESS Missle Hog (at least to me), were very BAD additions. The missle hog is worthless for a few reasons. I can't lay down a suppressing fire. Three missles isn't great for doing that, and it makes it VERY hard to shoot down a banshee. The missles do NOT fly straight, this annoys me to no end. The most I'll ever really use it for is transportation to get from one place to another. If I plan on attacking something, I go for the chaingun hog.

TwistedSoul summed up the pistol users best. It's a nice gun, but play fair at least. After so many kills/clips, use another freaking gun.

A little note on the Fuel Rod Gun... When I first got hold of it, before even going online, I knew it'd be an issue becuase of the rate of fire. If you had to charge it like the Hunter's it'd work. The upswing of the weapon, and the part I love about it and the thing that'd make it worthwhile if people didn't spam it, is it's ability to morter(sp?) the opposing teams base from the middle of the level. THAT is cool.

Blah... I could keep going. Halo is a great game, but the Multiplayer aspect on PC is worthless and nothing more than a pain in the *** .

Agreed but you got to love these people "BANSHEE'S CAUSE LAG" okay boys and grils... the people who made the game aren't stupid they are not gonna make one vehicle that lags anymore than another. The banshee and the warthog send the same amount of data if anything the warthog has to send a bit more cause it can support 3 players as opposed to 1.

I played the Demo. Nothing special, IMO. I personally liked BF1942 and Tribes 2 better, as far as multiplayer with vehicles. Single player was better in Halo though.. becaus obviously T2 and BF42 had none.

Yea... I'm of the firm belief that Halo on XBox is just vastly superior in all ways.

The one thing the I miss inthe PC version is having that force feedback. I didn't realize until after I played the PC version just how much that added to my game on XBox. It just didn't feel the same at all.

I hope to God Halo 2 on XBox Live doesn't turn into an immature newb fest. It would really really suck.

X-Box Halo > PC Halo. Community online's much better, and the lack of text is good. Very good.

One of the things that worried me about Halo 2 and dual wielding before I found out the pistol was gone, was that it'd be painfully easy for people to grab a plasma pistol and the human pistol, overcharge the plasma pistol, hit you and drain your shields, and then kill you with the human pistol while the plasma pistol cools.

You can do that now, but you have to switch weapons. Dual wielding would make it so you'd never have to do that at all.

I like the pistol, it's a great gun, but people spam it. It's very similar to the conc in JK. Great gun, but people spammed it because of it's two shot kill. Thus it became a very bad weapon.

Sadly, my computer is too weak to make HaloPC online gaming worthwhile (i had the demo for a while, and online it was nothing short of unstable), but that situation with the pistol reminds me of the bane of version 2.5 of the Half-Life mod "Firearms" - The Styer Aug. High-calibre gun, with a high rate of fire and almost zero recoil, it was the favourite of n00bs and vets alike (even I used to use it for a while). With the number of complainers, people went far enough to ban it from matches. (of course, it was removed in version 2.6).

Still, i feel your pain with the online community. It happens pretty much anywhere now (hell, its one of the many reasons i never really got into Counter-Strike). Still, if your looking for a good online community with some decent gameplay, i recommend Firearms 2.9, which was just released.

oh, and to the people of Massassi, i DON'T recommend Fileplanet. You can get faster downloads with less wait times at other sites (such as filefront).
