...play with lightsabre toys with your friends?
If so, were you good at it?
Do you feel like having a duel right now?
Nothing to see here, move along.

I did it alot with my friends... however we all moved and now there is no one to play with. How ever I don't have good lightsabre anymore... they all eventually broke. Man I loved doing 3vs1 or 2vs1 or 1vs1 torneys... heck even 2vs2... those were the golden days.

I've never owned a lightsaber toy :( And the new ones all cost about £100.
2005-10-30, 9:27 AM #6
i always kicked them, especially when we'd fake do those "saber locks" as they call it. then once i hit them once, just keep smacking em. my friends would get pretty dirty though, like we broke 3 of them around when episode 1 came out.

Wall Mart is your friend; but the way I see it, every one should construct their own lightsabre... cause these days buying a cheap oversized handle with short blades lightsabres are kinda embarissing.

Why fork the money over for a lightsabre toy when a stick is more effective?
You can't judge a book by it's file size

Yeah. A wooden stick always seemed a better choice.

Yeah, that's why I said 'about £100'. You're not going to argue with me over £10.01, are you? :p

a friend of mine has some made with stuff he got at the hardware store with a little hole for wooden broom sticks (the kind that screw on) just cut the sticks and spray paint them... made for a good lightsaber for duels outside of the theater

Wow, that was fun...I must've broken five of those things. I feel like going and getting one right now..they're only 5$ American for hours of fun.
I had a blog. It sucked.

We used real sticks instead. A good stick was rare, and when they broke... we'd be upset for days.

The sounds were much better, and it hurt more. :p

PVC pipe + Photoshop = lightsaber.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

At my high school the day before ROTS came out, about 70 kids (including me), bought plastic lightsabers, and there was a huge battle in the hall. It pissed the principle off because some kid walked away with a broken arm somehow. Ahh, good times :)
Walmart is a plague on our economy.
Yes, yes it is.

Walmart eventually kills everybody who does business with them and drives everybody who won't out of the market.

Me and my neighbour always fought with sabers and made our own stormtrooper rifles out of sticks or cardboard...

...Wow...I need to start doing that again. Those were REALLY fun times...
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Well... It does help our economy. Perhaps you should say that the trade of in loosing personally owned business is not worth the benefit?

I obtained a class IV cutting laser and played with it like a stormtrooper rifle.
My friend still has the burns on his scrotum.

O_o

Oh, and we used sticks. Stickbats actually. PVC pipes covered in a thin layer of foam so it doesn't leave welts, but still hurts just the same.

Noodles are great for that if you break them in half. (I'm talking about the foam swimming pool noodle things)
