i just got done watching TPM and i have come to the conclusion that Qui-Gon = Morpheus. qui-gon keeps saying that anakin is the one and Morpheus says Neo is the one. there were quite a few similarities between the two. anyone else notice this?

It is similar, but it doesnt mean they're the same. They also share the similarities that the prequel trilogy and the Matrix trilogy both suck hardcore.

Agreed Seb. Did that in English class long ago...discussed the traits similar in all epics.

I mean, even if you read the Odyssey you'll notice traits similar to modern day epics.

Usually there's always a journey (Star Wars, LotR, Matrix, Odyssey? All journeys)...

Hero usually...

etc.

Long list...

Yeah, even the Transformers movie had that whole "chosen one" bit when Prime giving the Matrix to Ultra Magnus.

Ultra Magnus was a wannabe.

Name a movie that doesn't fit this description:

Somebody must make some sort of journey because an event has disrupted the regular balance.

We were doing about narrative structure onetime, epics don't have anything more in common than anything else.
