On the contrary; it's out now, there's nothing I can do about it, and I imagine many of you are curious to find out if it's real or how well it works. I don't want you to risk your computers on a dubious file uploaded by someone of subpar quality, so here is a link to the pre-alpha hosted on CM's server. Just keep in mind that this is a very, very early build, it has few features and it's not easy to use.

My curiousity compelled me to d/l and I continuously experience a problem:

I figured out that I have to extract the zip to the JK directory, so I did that.

However, when I select an episode and a map in the chooser window, Sith2 crashes and closes itself. How do I get this thing working?

here's my system specs:

AMD Athlon 3000 (2.16 ghz)
512 mb ram
160-gb HD
ATI Radeon 9200SE vid card

Notes:
- Must be run in a directory with "Resource" directory containing GOBs of Sith Resources (res1.gob, etc) and an "Episode" directory with GOBs of levels if you want to run them. It will search the current directory for these directories, not necessarily the directory of the EXE. When you run the EXE from explorer these are the same directory, so it's usually nothing to worry about.
- Physics do not work right. Don't be surprised if you can walk through 3dos or fall through floors into oblivion. Jon`C MIGHT release a proper alpha once physics are tweaked. [Edit: Oh, it appears the public beta has no gravity. Shame.]
- Use lscmd(); in the cogsole for some quick help if you want to check it out.

To see the Sexxorz you have to change

video::renderpath = 0;

to

video::renderpath = 1;

(as stated in the readme)

If video::renderpath is 1, it might crash if your card doesn't support all the effects. Try 0.

Man, I hate it when people leak stuff. I remember how some jerk off got a hold of Fatal Resistance Mod Beta 9.7 and sent an email to me saying "Sorry but I couldn't resist" BS. I was forced to release the mod prematurely and due to the fact that my hard drive died when I was doing Beta 9.8, I said "screw it" and let the mod die off. I hope a similar fates does NOT happen to Sith2.

You won't really get much out of this Beta unless you're an editor. And even then, it really isn't all that helpful unless you're doing things on a completelly high-end level like we are with JKR.

You..cancelled...FR? I say we hunt down ReT/Traitor (or both, if they're different people) and whoever leaked FR. I was looking forward to Fatal Resistance.

ReT's site was awesome. It had everything well set out, any program you need and it was there.

Still dont understand the ReT hating atm, do we have proof it was him or are we just acting like witch hunters?

Jon`C, do you want bug reports?

The only thing I'm having a problem with that you probably haven't noticed is it doesn't like 2 cpus, I have to go in taskmgr and tell it to only run on one or else my framerate jumps from 400fps to 3 and back.

Correction: Attacked Massassi TWICE, and the holonet server once. Why he attacks a server he himself uses is beyond me.
